A carcass of a mysterious giant creature appeared on the shore of the Seram Island in Indonesia's Maluku province, Friday, raising the eyebrows of residents and local authorities alike.
The bloodied carcass, almost 15 metres (50 ft) long and 7 metres (23 ft) wide, is speculated to be a giant squid that had been dead for a few days bfore its discovery.
Despite the buzz the mysterious mass has created, the island’s residents are now urging the authorities to remove the remains as they began to rot.
