Scientist and artist KURARE delighted some 100 people with his green and pink neon noodles as he performed at the "Impossible Food in Kansai" event in Osaka at Loft Plus One West, Monday. Attendees had the chance to try the "udon" - Japanese noodles - with one describing them as "delicious, colourful and cute." KURARE himself explained that he got his inspiration after playing a particularly colourful video game. The "radioactive" effect is reached by adding fluorescent chemicals such as new coccine and riboflavin. KURARE had already created the same effect with cream, curry and Japanese sake.
