A total lunar eclipse created what is known as a 'blood moon' to put on a celestial show above the ancient Temple of Poseidon in Sounio on Friday.
The moon was seen rising behind the ancient Temple and shining over the sea as it turned from bright white to blood red tones, creating a breath-taking view.
This was the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century, with moon reportedly spending 1 hour 43 minutes in Earth's shadow.
