Три амурски тигърчета се родиха в Русия

Visitors of the Taigan Safari Park could watch triplet Amur tiger cubs playing and exploring their cage on Monday for the first since their mother gave birth to them several days ago. Employees have not been able to come up with names for the cubs yet, but according to the zookeepers, the animals are in good health and their mother is taking good care of them. The Amur tiger is listed as endangered, but their population keeps growing in Crimea so that the zoo is considering building a separate park for the predators on the peninsula in the nearer future. There are fewer than 3,200 tigers left in the wild. A number of captive breeding programs for the Amur tigers are currently active, but experts have questioned the effectiveness of them, calling instead for the focus to shift on conservation efforts in the wild.
