Minutes after its launch the unmanned Falcon 9 rocket disintegrated in the sky over Cape Canaveral on Sunday. The launch of the rocket, carrying a robotic Dragon cargo capsule for the International Space Station (ISS), looked like it was going to be a success after launching on time, when suddenly the vehicle started to break up. It has not yet been determined what caused the incident and if the breakup occurred prior or after precautionary action was taken, NASA spokesman George Diller reported. A Space X team will examine the data and the video to determine the reasons for its failure. Falcon 9 was supposed to deliver over two and a half tons of supplies, equipment and experiments, including two international docking adaptors to the ISS. This was the second time in a row that a cargo delivery, holding food, oxygen and other essentials, failed to reach the ISS.
