A white Bengal tigress Tigryulya fed and played with her new-born baby at Yalta zoo, Sunday.
This is the first time in two years Tigryulya, a tiger given to the zoo by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, feeds one of her cubs by herself. She had previously refused to feed her last litter of cubs. However, Tigryulya appears to have accepted this new delivery, and uses her motherly instincts to gently groom her baby and let it play with her.
A single cub birth is a rarity for tigers, making Tigryula's new family addition rather exceptional.
