Footage emerged Tuesday of two of three puppies that were rescued last Thursday night in Cartagena, Spain, after an unknown person through them in a pit full of tar. The four-month-old puppies - a cross of Ibizan hounds and greyhounds - were found by a family that had gone for a walk in the countryside. They managed to get the dogs out of the pit and alerted the local Animal Protection Federation 'El Portalico,' who took them into care. By the time the pups were rescued, the tar had started to dry, creating a solid mass around them. One of the animals died as consequence. The rescue centre volunteers managed to save the other two after hours of cleaning them and days of care.
