Hundreds of people gathered to welcome North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un back to Pyongyang on Monday, after his return from the Vladivostok Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, held the week before.
Chanting and waving flowers, people cheered with excitement when the official armoured train bringing the North Korean leader approached the platform and he exited the vehicle. A military guard and band were present at the ceremony.
The first ever summit between Putin and Kim finished on Thursday with the two leaders toasting to deeper friendship and cooperation. During their bilateral talks, Putin and Kim discussed the long history of friendship between the two nations and also efforts to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula.
