About 1,300 people were evacuated from a cruise ship off the western Norwegian coast on Saturday, after reported engine problems.
The ship sent a distress signal due to "engine problems in bad weather", prompting Norway's sea rescue agency to start rescue operations.
Five helicopters and a number of ships are taking part in the operation, with passengers being airlifted one by one in a process which could continue into Sunday morning. By 22:40 GMT, 155 people were brought to shore.
The MV Viking Sky was heading from the coastal southern city of Stavanger to the northern port of Tromso.
