Germany: Berliners condemn EU over migrant deaths in Mediterranean

Hundreds of protesters joined a rally outside the European Parliament's information office on Berlin's Unter den Linden, Friday, to remember the victims of the recent Mediterranean boat disaster and condemn the EU's immigration regulations. Protesters demanded that the EU open its borders to refugees and blame Frontex, the European Agency for the Management of the External Borders of the Member States, for the catastrophe. A boat capsized off the coast of Libya on Sunday with possibly 900 people aboard. With an estimated death toll of at 800, the incident is deemed as the deadliest ever peacetime migrant tragedy in the Mediterranean.
