The Norwegian belly-flop championship took place in Oslo, Saturday, as competitors vied to be crowned winner of the sport known as dodsing, literally translated as 'death diving'.
Fool-hardy participants jumped from a 10 metre (32 ft) high diving board in front of an attentive crowd. The jumpers were required to keep their bodies at a flat angle to the water, while holding bizzare poses for as long as possible, before hitting the pool with a final splash.
