M/S Police officer running along path A powerful earthquake shook South Asia on Monday, sending shockwaves through northern Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. Fourteen people were reported killed and dozens more injured in north-west Pakistan although official casualty figures have not yet been announced. Footage shows residents of Faisalabad evacuating their homes and gathering in the city streets following powerful tremors. Shockwaves were also felt in New Delhi, Kabul and Islamabad. The epicentre of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake was located in the mountainous Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, according to the US Geological survey. It occurred at a depth of 212km (133 miles).
