Footage released on Tuesday by Macedonian Police shows the moment state security engaged in an operation to "neutralise" a group of gunmen, who are reported to have been involved in a shootout in Kumanovo that left at least eight police officers dead and 37 injured. Clashes between state security and anti-government groups were ongoing since early Saturday and culminated Sunday in the capture of several gunmen. Fourteen of the gunmen were killed in the fighting. Macedonian authorities have charged 30 people with terrorism offences, most coming from the now defunct Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
