Disrrael Acosta, a 47-year-old resident of San Juan y Martinez, who eats glass and peels coconuts with his teeth, demonstrated his unusual skills on Monday.
Acosta said he began eating glass to "eliminate gastric juice" while in hospital, after he had fallen from a mango tree. Reportedly, the physician who treated him - doctor Ivan Arena - gave him the go-ahead after conducting tests following his accident.
Acosta explained that his ability triggers mixed reactions from people, with some showing nerves and others being excited to see him perform. "I use that skill as a form of entertainment, to amuse people, so that people have fun with me. I do it on the street and in various places," he stated.
