At least five were killed after category five cyclone Winston hit Pacific Harbour, Fiji on Friday, with winds of up to 325 kph (201 mph) and waves reaching 12 metres (39 ft).
The cyclone reportedly did considerable damage to trees and houses and also downed a great number of power lines across the vast majority of Fiji's territory, hindering relief efforts.
Fiji's government officially declared a State of Disaster which is to last 30 days, as more than 1066 people seek shelter at 35 evacuation centres across the island of Vanua Levu.
