A Russian rescue team saved two adolescent girls on a breakaway ice floe in the Amur Gulf near Vladivostok, Tuesday, after they were stranded while trying to take a selfie.
Personnel from Russia’s Emergency Ministry EMERCOM in Primorski Krai stated that the girls aged 14 and 15 allegedly wanted to take a selfie with the scenery of Amur bay. Shortly after both of them set foot on the ice, they heard a cracking sound and the ice started drifting away quickly.
The rescue operation was successful.
