Nora, the 10-month polar bear cub, was seen playing in a pool full of ice and swimming during her 30-day quarantine period after her arrival at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Wednesday.
Polar bears at the Oregon Zoo are helping climate scientists to track polar bear diets and movements using a high-tech collar. The data is being used to help researchers develop methods to investigate the effect of retreating sea ice on the polar bears livlihoods.
