A cardboard cutout of former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez could be seen on the balcony of the Venezuelan embassy in Lima, Wednesday, following comments made about Venezuela by Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (PPK) during a speech at Princeton University in the US.
PPK is reported to have referred to Latin America as a "well-behaved dog sleeping on the rug", calling Venezuela an exception and, ergo, a problem. Venezuelan authorities seem to have responded by putting Chavez on display with a sign saying "I will always be".
Peruvian President, an alumnus of Princeton, was collecting the James Madison Medal at the time of the speech. He graduated with a Master's in Public Affairs from the Ivy League university in 1961.
