Russia: Su-24 & Su-25 combat readiness tested in snap military drills

Sukhoi Su-24 and Su-25 combat teams responded to snap military drills with the "highest" possible score, a Lieutenant of the 960 Attack Aviation Wing confirmed at the Marinovka military airfield in the region of Volgograd, Tuesday. The Attack Aviation Wing, based at Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the region of Krasnodar, were relocated as part of the military exercises. Twelve Sukhoi Su-25 ground attack aircraft managed to cover the 500km (310 miles) distance in a few hours, with the Su-24 also involved in the operation. The sudden military drills were launched by Russia's Ministry of Defence and will involve at least 250 aircraft and 12,000 military and service personnel.
