The Russian Army opened up three humanitarian corridors for residents and militants who had laid down their arms in the besieged city of Aleppo on Friday, initiating the safe passages for locals who are fleeing the area.
Leaflets with directions on how to reach the passages were dropped off in Aleppo’s al-Masharka district area on Thursday.
According to Russian Colonel Kirill Savin, the corridor will be operating "only in daylight hours," with buses, meals and a medical station also being provided in the district. He went on to add, "There will be everything necessary for people to leave safely and to further move to the places of temporary accommodation."
