Меркел призова ЕС за обща политика по въпроса с миграцията

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that a “uniform European asylum policy must be imposed,” during a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy in Meseberg Castle near Berlin on Tuesday. The chancellor’s comments come after the German government announced last week that it expects to receive upwards of 800,000 migrants this year. Merkel also took the opportunity to praise her Spanish counterpart on the economic “reforms that have been implemented” which have led to Spain’s “very good growth rates this year, twice as high as in Germany,” according to the chancellor. The meeting of the European leaders come as the EU struggles to manage the refugee-crisis, with Germany accusing other member states of not taking enough responsibility for accommodating the incoming displaced people. At current rates Germany receives more asylum applications a year than Britain does in a month.
