Russia: Emergency services respond to St Petersburg department store blaze

Emergency services responded to a fire which broke out at the Passage department store in central St Petersburg on Tuesday.
The fire is believed to have started in the ventilation shaft of an area of about 80 square meters. A total of 450 visitors and 80 employees were evacuated from the building.
Passage department store was founded in 1848 and is considered a focal point of the city’s cultural heritage.
