The lights of the Eiffel Tower in Paris were turned off at midnight in tribute to the victims of the deadly attack in London, Wednesday.
Paris Mayor Annie Hidalgo ordered the blackout as a show of solidarity to the city, which witnessed an attack in Westminster that resulted in the deaths of five people. Reportedly three French teenagers who were on a school trip were among those injured in the attack.
During the incident, a police officer was stabbed outside the Houses of Parliament and a car reportedly driven into a crowd of people on Westminster Bridge. Five people were killed in total, including the attacker who was reportedly shot dead.
Authorities believe there was only one attacker.
