The latest Russian passenger jet MS-21-300 conducted its first flight in Irkutsk, Sunday.
The aircraft took off from the Irkutsk aviation plant airfield and was airborne at 1,000-metre (3,280 feet) height for 30 minutes reaching a speed of 300 km/h (186 mi/h). Two test pilots flied the plane reporting the complete execution of the in-flight tasks upon landing.
MS-21-300 is a new generation passenger plane with capacity of 163-211 seats. According to manufacturer Irkut corporation, 175 aircrafts are planned to be produced.
