Russia: Commemorative coin of first man to walk in space released

The Russian Central Bank issued a commemorative coin for the 50th anniversary of the first man to walk in space - Alexei Leonov - in Moscow, Wednesday. The coin is made in a round shape with a diameter of 39mm (1.2 inch) and weighs 31g (0.06lb). It depicts an image of an astronaut in open space near the spacecraft against a backdrop of stars and the sun. Around the edge of the coin is an inscription saying "50 years since the first man was out in space." 5,000 pieces will be circulated.
