A police water cannon struck a protester on the ground at an anti-G20 protest in Hamburg, on Thursday evening.
The 'Welcome to Hell' demonstration in the city turned violent on Thursday afternoon, after police blocked the protest in its early stages.
Protesters have descended on the German city to oppose the G20 summit, which will see many world leaders hold meetings in Hamburg between July 7 and July 8.
