Germany car manufacturer BMW unveiled its brand new i8 Roadster model at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, Wednesday.
The i8 Roadster is a two-seated hybrid sports car featuring a soft-electric top and a body made aluminium with a carbon-fiber passenger cell. While the front wheels are driven by the power of the electric motor, the rear is driven by the gasoline engine.
The car comes with a battery that has an electric range of up to 55 kilometres (34,1754 miles), and its top speed is 250 kilometres (155 mph). Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometres (62 miles) is estimated to take 4.4 seconds.
