These two bronze horses, masterpieces of Nazi-commissioned art, once stood right in front of Adolf Hitler’s Chancellery, have been recovered by Germany police after a series of raids on suspected black market art traffickers. The horses were last seen in Soviet barracks in the East German town of Eberswalde in 1989, but disappeared not long after the Berlin Wall came down. Police are currently investigating eight people, reportedly aged 64 to 79, suspected of art trafficking.
