Footage released on Wednesday by Russian Ministry of Defence shows airstrikes carried out by Russian Su-34 jets against oil facilities operated by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), near the Al-Taura locality in Raqqa Province, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
The strikes were part of a continued bombing campaign on the oil facilities since May 20. The facilities have reportedly been used for illegal oil recovery.
The Russian Air Force has destroyed more than 200 oil production and fuel recycling facilities in provinces across Syria.
In May, Russian and Syrian Air Forces performed joint air strikes on the ISIS positions in Raqqa.
