The world's longest glass-bottomed suspension bridge opened for visitors in Shiniuzhai National park in China earlier this week, with drone footage capturing visitors walking along the structure on Wednesday. The grandiose structure, named Brave Men’s Bridge, soars a stomach churning 180 metres (590 feet) above China’s Hunan Province. Its glass walkway allows visitors to peer down into the vast canyon below. With glass panes 24 millimeters (2.4 cm) thick and reportedly 25 times stronger than regular glass the bridge is said to be perfectly safe. This is China‘s first glass bottom suspension bridge and a recent announcement has revealed that Hunan province is due to open another glass bridge later this year in the Zhangjiajie Grand canyon area. The rival structure will be even larger at over 1,400 feet long (426 metres) and 985 feet high (300 metres), making it the worlds largest, exceeding its younger brother.
