Friends and family of the forty-nine victims of the mass shooting at the LGBT nightclub 'Pulse' gathered for the vigil at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts, Orlando, Florida, Monday.
People brought flowers and candles to the memorial. City officials, community and faith leaders joined them in prayers to honour the victims. As the sun set, thousands of people lit candles in the memory of the victims.
Forty-nine peple were killed and dozens injured in a shooting at the LGBT nightclub 'Pulse' in Orlando on Sunday. The shooting is the deadliest attack in the US since 9/11. Mateen, a US citizen of Afghan descent living in Port St. Lucie, has been identified as the culprit. He was killed during the SWAT operation at the club.
