USA: Flag removed from atop Russian Consulate in San Francisco

The flags have been removed from atop the recently vacated Consulate of the Russian Federation in San Francisco. Footage filmed on Wednesday shows an empty flag pole on the roof of the Consulate building.
According to reports, the flags have been missing from the Consulate since October 9.
The premises were vacated on October 1, following the announcement on September 1 by the US State Department of the closure of the Russian consular residence in San Francisco, as well as a consular annex in New York City and a chancery annex in Washington DC. The decision was made in retaliation to Moscow's decision to reduce US diplomatic staff numbers in Russia following additional US sanctions.
