Japan: Yamaha unveils Sports Ride concept car at Tokyo Motor Show

Yamaha unveiled its new 'Sports Ride' concept car at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, Thursday. The vehicle was built on an innovative iStream Carbon platform - a radical new carbonfibre technology - developed by McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray. Behind the car interior design was ex-Toyota designer Dezi Nagaya. Sports Ride Concept is a two-seater with an impressive low weight of 750 kg (1,653 lbs) that according to Yamaha representatives, provides customers with a "driver-machine relationship similar to a motorcycle."
