US President Donald Trump stated that further measures related to his travel ban will be taken next week, in Washington DC, on Friday, at a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
In response to a journalist's question on the topic of the travel ban, ruled unlawful by the appeals court, Trump stated, "we will be doing something very rapidly, having to do with additional security for our country, you will be seeing that sometime next week. In addition we will continue to go through the court process, and ultimately I have no doubt we will win that particular case."
Both leaders stressed their cooperation over North Korea and its nuclear weapons. Trump stressed the US intent of "defending against the North Korean missile and nuclear threat, both of which I consider a very, very high priority." Abe echoed the same concerns stating, "we strongly demand North Korea abandon its nuclear and ballistic missile programme and not make any more provocations."
