Hundreds of young people dressed as zombies and ghouls gathered in Sosnovka Park in St. Petersburg, Saturday, for the annual 'Zombie Walk.' They 'invaded' the park, looking for 'survivors.' This year's event is the seventh year in a row the 'Zombie Walk' flash mob event has taken place. Make-up artists helped create horrific characters for everybody who wanted to take part in the event. The popular 'Zombie Walk' was already staged in Birobidzhan, Rostov-on-Don and Nizhny Novgorod in July and it is expected to happen in Khabarovsk and Novosibirsk in the autumn. Activists who demanded a ban on such flash mob-marches in the last years, were present at the park to document the event and send their observations to the local authorities for investigation in a bid to stop such events taking place in the future.
