Syria: Drone captures the destruction of Aleppo

The destruction caused by the ongoing Syrian conflict was clearly visible when a drone captured images of the Bustan al-Qasr district in Aleppo on Sunday. Six people were killed and several were injured when the area was shelled by militants on December 14, shortly after it had been recaptured by the Syrian army, Syrian State television reported.
Over the last few days the Syrian government and opposition forces have seemingly tried to establish a ceasefire, but it has proven to be shaky. Thousands remain trapped in eastern Aleppo as evacuations have repeatedly come to a halt. On Sunday buses that were on their way to evacuate people from al-Foah and Kefraya, two towns in Idlib province, were attacked and set on fire, causing the procedure to be postponed.
Civilians and militants were unable to leave on Wednesday as government forces and opposing fighters both accused each other of breaking the ceasefire. On Friday the procedure was also postponed due to a disagreement over the evacuation of Foah and Kefraya.
