A nanny accused of decapitating a child in Moscow earlier in the week appeared in court in the Russian capital, Wednesday.
The 38-year-old Uzbek woman who is being tried for the murder has reportedly accepted her guilt for the crime after willingly cooperating with her arrest on Monday.
Bobokulova was arrested after she was seen bearing the severed head of a child at Moscow's 'Oktyabrskoe pole' underground station. The child was later identified as 4-year-old Anastasia Meshcheryakova.
Following the woman's arrest, authorities discovered the child's home had been set on fire. Law enforcement later discovered the headless body of the four-year-old in the flat.
The suspect, Gulchekhra Bobokulova, was the nanny of the child and allegedly waited until Meshcheryakova's parents left the flat, later strangling the child to death before decapitating her.
While on trial, Bobokulova is also under psychological evaluation.
