Fans of Serbian Rakija travelled from all over the Balkans to compete in an annual drinking competition in Pranjani, Sunday.
Now in its 13th year, teams competed in two categories: in drinking Rakija and pouring Rakija. A team from Sabac and an individual competitor from Sweden won a barrel of homemade Rakija each for their efforts.
Rakija is a brandy made of plumbs, pears, apples, grapes and other fruits that grow in the Balkans region. It is considered to be Serbia's national drink.
