Two new-born Bengal Tiger cubs were introduced to visitors at Bali Zoo, Wednesday, 10 days after their birth. Although twins, each has a different coloured coat: one is a white female while the other is an orange male. Both are still under veterinarian supervision in order to monitor their condition. The two cubs were born to Kartini and King, a Bengal tiger couple of 12 and 11 years old respectively. This birth is seen as a success for Bali Zoo in helping to protect an endangered species. Since 2010, the Bengal Tiger has been classified as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). By 2011, the total population was estimated at fewer than 2,500, a trend that's set to continue heading southwards.
