As the Greek debt crisis plays out, one bakery in Athens is integrating the Greece’s creditors into its confectionery, Friday, putting on show three crocodile-shaped loaves of bread named after the leaders of the institutions (IMF, ECB, EU). Three crocodiles lay in the shop’s window display, all labelled with name-tags, one named after the German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble, president of the ECB Mario Draghi, and the head of IMF Christine Lagarde. The bakery, located in the Pagrati district of the Greek capital, is owned by Gela Goxhi, who, discussing the display, said that "it is just a silly thing, but also a reflection of politics in our work". Here’s hoping that Schauble, Draghi, and Lagarde don’t shed crocodile tears over the ‘alligations’.
