SOT, Maria Torres, Meteorologist at the National Hurricane Center: "We are here, the situation is that we are still under, Hurricane Dorian is a category 2 hurricane, it has maximum sustained winds of 110 miles per hour. We are expecting that it will become a major hurricane during the day today and we are looking at the potential of having a hurricane impact in south Florida, here in Florida early next week."

Miami residents could be seen stocking up on hurricane supplies such as food, water, gas and other necessities on Friday.
"There are no impact windows, there are no storm shutters, there is no flashlights, I got water, I got 100 dollars' worth of water and 100 dollars' worth of cookies, so I'll be fine. Might gain a little weight and get a few pimples," said one local about what she could find in the shops without losing her spirit.
Meteorologist at the National Hurricane Center Maria Torres said Dorian, “is a category 2 hurricane, it has maximum sustained winds of 110 miles per hour (177 km per hour). We are expecting that it will become a major hurricane during the day today and we are looking at the potential of having a hurricane impact in south Florida, here in Florida early next week."
Recent reports claim that Dorian has since reached category 3, and could get even stronger before it makes landfall.
