Time-lapse footage captured from the International Space Station (ISS), released on Friday, shows Dextre, the spacecraft's repair-bot Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM), getting in the shot as the ISS hovered over the Middle East. Dextre the robot is a two armed 'telemanipulator' and is a vital part of the Mobile Servicing System on the ISS spacecraft. The robot does repairs and carries many tasks that require spacewalks on the ship. Expedition 44 started on 11 June 2015 with the undocking of the Soyuz TMA-15M flight from the International Space Station. The flight has six crew members: three from the Russian Federal Space Agency (RSA), two from National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and one from the JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency).
