British Prime Minister David Cameron gathered with the defeated and now resigned party leaders of Labour and Liberal Democrates on Friday at the Cenotaph in central London to commemorate those who died during WWII. Cameron was joined by former Labour leader Ed Miliband, Liberal Democrat Nick Clegg, the SNP's leader in the Commons Angus Robertson, Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Northern Ireland Minister Arlene Foster along with more than 100 veterans and military figures for the memorial event. The ceremony began with a two-minute silence, held at the exact time Winston Churchill broadcasted the news of the German surrendered. Hundreds of similar commemorative services will take place throughout Europe from Friday to Saturday for the 70th anniversary of WWII's Victory Day. Source: AFP pool
