Chile: Riot police seize teens off Santiago streets at violent education demo

More than a dozen students were detained following a protest over free education in Santiago, Wednesday.
The arrests began when a group of high school students tried to block the capital's main avenue, Alamaeda. Riot police then deployed water cannon to break up the crowd before making arrests.
The demonstration was allegedly prohibited by officials, with police seizing children at random once the protest gained momentum.
