Baltimore Police Department warned Pokemon Go players to play safely, after releasing footage, on Tuesday, showing one Pokemon enthusiast crashing into a police car as they played the game while driving.
Lt. T.J. Smith, spokesman for the Baltimore Police Department confirmed that the driver told investigators that he was looking at his phone, playing Pokemon Go, when this incident occurred. He reminded people, “There's way too many people that have their heads buried in their phone trying to catch a Pokemon and the criminals are catching you!”
Making use of GPS and the camera of mobile phones and other devices, Pokemon Go allows players to capture, battle, and train Pokemon appearing on their devices all across the city. It attracted some controversy due to reports of causing accidents.
