Bulgaria: US Army joins Bulgarian forces for final stage of NATO drills

The final stage of the tactical training "Blowback Hit 16" drills with the US army took place at Novo Selo military base near Sliven, Tuesday.
The exercises were planned by the Second Mechanized Brigade with the participation of 740 Bulgarian and 35 American soldiers.
The aim of the planned joint training was to maintain combat readiness of the Bulgarian army and to achieve greater operational compatibility with the NATO allies as the military body increases its activity in Eastern Europe.
