Some 1,498 bikini-clad snowboarders set a new record at the Grelka Festival for Russia's largest downhill ride in their swim suits at the Sheregesh ski resort, Kemerovo Oblast, on Saturday, while enjoying the Siberian snow and sun.
Participants from US, China, Italy, Germany and France slid down the slopes in bikinis and swimming shorts, while hundreds of onlookers gathered to watch and cheer on participants of this year's festival.
In 2015, over 1,800 scantily clad skiers and snowboarders set a new Guinness record for the world's largest downhill ride in swim suits at the Sheregesh. This year's event while involving less participants is a record for Russia, as the 2015 iteration was not registered by the federation.
