Russia: Pacific Fleet conducts rocket firing drills in Sea of Okhotsk

Russia's Pacific Fleet conducted tactical missile firing exercises in the Sea of Okhotsk on Monday, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The strike group consisted of the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, missile cruiser Varyag, small missile ships Razliv and Moroz, the Tomsk missile submarine, as well as the Bastion costal missile systems, which fired cruise missiles at surface targets.
According to the Ministry of Defense, a missile attack on two floating target ships was launched using Vulkan, Granit, Malakhit and Oniks cruise missiles from the sea of Okhotsk and from the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The distance to the targets ranged from 250 to 500 kilometres (155 to 311 miles). All seven cruise missiles successfully hit their targets.
