Snowfall hit Santiago for the first time in 20 years, Sunday, leaving the Chilean capital under an unusual blanket of snow, between 3 to 5 centimetres (1-2 inches) thick.
Children and adults alike engaged in snowball fights on the street, as well as created snowmen and posed beside them for pictures.
The unexpected snowfall led to power cuts that affected at least 280,000 people, according to local media.
