Russia: This playful leopard was found wandering the streets of Moscow

One of two leopards caught by police officers and specialists in Moscow on June 1 was seen playing and enjoying the sun at a centre for wild animals, Thursday. The footage was released by Moscow City Police. The animals were found walking freely in one of the capital’s neighbourhoods before being captured by police and taken from their owners, who reportedly don't possess the required documentation to keep the beasts. The leopards will remain at the centre for wild animals until an investigation into the incident has been concluded. Specialists of the Russian Academy of Sciences took hair samples from the big cats to identify whether they belong to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
